Challenge
Offering shuttle services to hotel guests is a significant expense for every hotel. Keeping control of the actual use and occupancy of this shared service by each hotel and calculating the genuine demand of the service to adapt the offer was a great challenge.
 
The hotel questioned  themselves on how they could better monitor and track the actual use and occupancy per guest and hotel and how they could offer a more flexible and personalized service.

BUSUP identified the real bottlenecks and challenges of the operation and proposed an optimal solution to reduce costs, adapt to the changing demand and improve the quality of the service:

  • Implement an online flexible booking and check-in system providing transparency and forecast demand to adapt the offer accordingly.
    .
  • Allow the hotel to share the route with neighbouring hotels.

  • Define and implement an online payment system so that passengers can totally or partially subsidize the service’s cost.

  • 24/7 customer care service for passengers and traffic monitoring system to ensure the shuttle services’ quality, and remove the hotels managing cost.
